Mr. Earl Bain, age 78, of Sanford, N.C., died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital while undergoing open heart surgery.
He was born in Harnett County, N.C. on November 1, 1933, to the late Robert Ellis Bain and Annie Canaday Bain. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Bain. He worked 47 years for Coca Cola.
Mr. Bain was a beloved husband, father and friend. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Norris Bain; two sons, Kenneth Earl Bain and wife Joy of Sanford and James Ronald Bain and wife Tammy of Smithfield; daughter, Rebecca Bain Reed and husband Scott of Cane Hill, Arkansas; brothers, Ellis Bain and wife Mae of Sanford and Everette Bain of Reedville, Virginia; sister, Marie Bain Buchanan and husband Bryant of Sanford; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 7, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home and the funeral will be Friday, June 8, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Thompson presiding. Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.
