I'm sorry for your loss. Death is such a trying event that it's called an enemy in the Bible at 1 Corinthians 15:26. But Jesus gave us a hope in the Bible at John 11:25: "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." So, we will be able to see our loved ones again by means of the resurrection. Then we will never have to lose them again. Why can we say that? Because God has promised us this in the Bible at such scriptures as Isaiah 25:8, Isaiah 26:19, and Revelation 21:3-5. Isn't this good news? Please read these scriptures in your own Bible. Sincerely, Rosemarie

Dear Carson and family: it was with much sadness, yet good memories that I read about Mary. Unfortunately, it was not until almost 3 when I got caught up on my papers and it was to late to attend. Please accept my condolences. Mary was one of the sweetest and most caring teachers and I am very glad I had a chance to know her and you all during my years with the school district. May God be with you as you go through this time and the days to come.

Dear Mr. Oldham, I was very sad to learn of Mrs. Oldham's passing. She was my teacher at Fairview Heights School in my 4th and 5th grades, as well as both our families being members at Marks Creek Pres Church. She was a remarkable and sweet lady. I remember in Nov-63 when the principal called her out to the hall, then she called me out to join them - I thought I was in big trouble - but they wanted me (as a Cub Scout) to lower the flag to half mast, due to JFK's assassination. Your family will be in my prayers during this time.

Carson and family,My heart goes out to you all in the loss of your sweet Catherine. Even though it was through Jules illness that our paths crossed, I found her to be one of the sweetest and most gracious people. I am blessed by our paths crossing. Please know that you all have been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers..."Earth hath no sorrow, that heaven can not heal"

Fondly, Nancy Wilson Pollard

So, so sorry to learn, through a late reading of Saturday's HERALD, of Mary's death. Had I not been tardy in getting at the newspapers, I would have certainly expressed my sympathy in person and attended today's funeral. May God bless you with his healing mercy as you grieve. Grace and peace, Reinette
