Jimmy Edward Thomas

Jimmy Edward Thomas, age 76, of Sanford, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at FirstHealth Hospice House after a period of declining health.

He was born in Lee County, a son of the late Samuel Edward Thomas and Margaret Comer Thomas.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eddy Ray Thomas.  Jimmy retired after a long career as a truck driver.  He enjoyed a good game of golf, working on his farm and hanging out with friends at VFW, but spending time with his family was most important to him. 

Jimmy is survived by his son, Mark Thomas and wife, Brandy of Lillington; daughter, Ashley Campbell and husband, Chan of Sanford; sister, Margaret Thomas and husband, Mike of Sanford and grandchildren, Caden Thomas, Macey Thomas, Case Thomas, Dylan Campbell and Coast Campbell.
