Roy Lee "RL" Godfrey, Jr.

Roy Lee “RL” Godfrey, Jr., aged 77, passed away in his home Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

He was born in Lee County on December 31, 1948 to the late Roy Lee Godfrey, Sr. and Nancy Lynn Hall Godfrey.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Randall David Godfrey.

He is survived by is children Katina Godfrey Koeth (Doug) and Lucy Godfrey of N. Las Vegas, NV; siblings Patricia Godfrey Underwood, Glenn Godfrey (Sheila) and Michael Godfrey; grandchildren all from N. Las Vegas, NV: Joshua Koeth, Abigail Koeth, Joseph Koeth, Isabella Martinez, Alexandria Ellis, and Victoria Ellis; great-granddaughter Dove Martinez; 29 nieces and nephews.

Roy, fondly known to family and friends as RL, was a veteran who served in the Unites States Army.  In past years he served on the Rescue Squad.  He worked many years at This End Up Furniture until his retirement.  He was a collector of many things and loved to joke with others.  He had a loved of birds in which he kept several different varieties.  He will be extremely missed by those who knew and loved him.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery.
